Comtoyou | Aston Martin Racing : Alexandre Leroy and
Antoine Potty join Jessica Hawkins

As announced during the Prologue at the Paul Ricard circuit last week, the crew of the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 #270 registered for endurance racing is now confirmed for the season. Here are the two drivers who will share the wheel with Jessica.

Alexandre Leroy (B) :
An eclectic driver, Alexandre began with historic vehicle competitions, and not just any. He is a regular at Peter Auto events, driving Marcos LM600, Lola B98, and in 2023, the Aston Martin AMR1 Group C – perhaps the beginnings – at the Le Mans Classic. Additionally, he has numerous rally participations with the legendary Mazda RX7 Group B… and two participations in the Dakar Rally!
Then comes the ‘modern’ period starting in 2023, immediately rewarded with a third place in the Porsche Carrera Cup France ‘AM’, followed in 2024 by another third place, but this time in the GT2 European Series with a Maserati MC20 GT2.

The latest results :

  • 2023 : 3rd place in the Porsche Carrera Cup France ‘AM’ (12 races)
2nd place at Magny Cours in Race 2
3rd place at Magny Cours & Monza in Race 1
3rd place at Barcelone & Monza in Race 2
Twelve starts / twelve finishes – 5 podiums in 12 races.
  • 2024 : 3rd place in Fanatec GT2 European GT2 Series « AM » (12 races)
Winner at Misano in Race 2 & Monza Race 1 (2nd in overall)
2nd place at Spa, Paul Ricard & Barcelone in Race 1
2nd place at Barcelone in Race 2
3rd place at Misano in Race 1
3rd place at Paul Ricard & Spa in Race 2
Pole position at Spa across all categories
Twelve starts / twelve finishes – 9 podiums in 12 races.

Alexandre has successfully raced on four of the five circuits used by the GT World Challenge Europe 2025, and has well prepared for his season. He will compete in the Bronze category within the team. « I am starting a new challenge, racing this time as part of a team, and with a diversity that I appreciate. Performing as a team is rewarding; I am driven by this spirit of contributing to success, which is crucial in endurance racing. » says Alexandre Leroy, who ultimately aims to participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans… In an Aston?

Antoine Potty (B) :
We will not give credit to those who claim that one Potty can hide another! Younger brother of Maxime Potty, who is now making a name for himself in international rallying (Vice Champion 2024 and Belgian Champion 2023), Antoine is also in the spotlight, but on the circuit, with very convincing results as well. Starting in karting at the age of seven, Antoine continued this path until he reached the top of the junior international championships. Logically, F4 followed briefly (3 podiums) before GT revealed itself as the preferred discipline, a choice rewarded by flattering results in GT4 so far. GT3 is a new step.

  • 2020 : GT4 European Series (Toyota Supra)
2 podiums in Silver Cup, one podium in Pro-Am, one Pole Position.
  • 2021 : GT4 European Series (Toyota Supra) with Stéphane Lémeret (B)
    Vice European Champion
2nd place at Monza, Paul Ricard, Barcelone (1st in Silver)
1st place at Paul Ricard (1st in Silver) in Race 2
  • 2022 : GT4 European Series (Toyota Supra) with Romain Monti (F)
2nd place at Paul Ricard (2nd in Silver)
2nd place at Spa (1st in Silver)
3rd place at Misano & Barcelone  (2nd et 3rd in Silver)
  • 2023 : GT4 European Series (Toyota Supra) with Etienne Cheli (F)
1st place at Paul Ricard (1st in Silver) in Race 2
1st place at Spa (1st in Silver) in Race 2
2nd place at Paul Ricard (2nd in Silver) in Race 1
  • 2024 : Development driver for Toyota Supra GT4 (since 2022 to 2024)

Still a student and future industrial computer engineer, at only 21 years old, Antoine is an excellent tuner who does not lack ambition. His speed is an additional asset. ‘My goal, in taking this step towards GT3, is to learn as quickly as possible, to soon be among the best in the category, and also to aim for a spot in the Aston Martin Driver Academy,’ adds Antoine Potty. Clearly, the motivation is there!

With two additional Belgian drivers in the team, Jean Michel Baert, the team owner, is also pleased: « Everyone knows my affinity for recruiting talented Belgian drivers; it’s an added pleasure. But the goal is indeed to elevate our #270 to the highest level, and the motivation shown by Jessica, Alexandre, and Antoine allows us to have real ambitions in the Bronze Cup. »

The trio will be hard at work at Castellet starting today, getting acquainted with the car and the team, under the guidance of François Verbist, Team Manager: « Yes, we are already back at Castellet, hoping for better weather than last week! These tests are important; our Silver drivers (Jessica and Antoine) and Bronze driver (Alexandre) need to start working together as soon as possible. The next event, in a month, is already imminent and it’s a « long » race. Building confidence is essential to create homogeneity and collective emulation. Jessica also needs to get familiar with Castellet. »
